We are very pleased to announce that our featured guest for the Rochester Baseball Historical Society 7th Annual Hot Stove Dinner will be Rey Palacios!
Mr. Palacios played parts of three seasons with the Kansas City Royals, as well as a brief appearance with the Rochester Red Wings, during his twelve year professional baseball career in which he was regarded as a strong defensive catcher. After retirement, Palacios became a full time firefighter and has served the city of Rochester in this capacity for the last 22+ years. We look forward to hearing first hand accounts of his experiences on and off the diamond – including serving as a 9/11 first responder, hitting a walk-off grand slam in extra innings off All-Star reliever Jeff Reardon, and playing with legendary teammates including George Brett and Bo Jackson.
Tickets are available now, and are limited, so you are encouraged to get your order in ASAP as the dinner typically sells out.
The dinner takes place on Saturday, January 25th in Club 3000 at Frontier Field. Cocktails at 5pm, Dinner at 6pm. Cost is $45 per person; please make checks payable to the Rochester Baseball Historical Society and send to:
